Great reception for my talk “That Time Swedish Actors Wore Blackface to Act Out the Bible” here at the IFTR Conference in Stockholm, Sweden! Nice to have a chance to present one of the “deleted scenes” from Playing God, and a special thrill to walk by the Royal Dramatic Theater (“The Dramaten”) where a Swedish translation of The Green Pastures by Marc Connelly played 115 performances in 1932.
This concludes a busy Spring of talking about Playing God in a variety of places and contexts, but my Fall calendar is wide open (hint, hint)…
